Introducing Challenges
A new way for your community to showcase their skills, connect with you, and stay motivated. It's like American Idol, except you're the judge.
Everyone wants to experience the joy of learning. In a sea of how-to YouTube videos, 30-second TikToks, and expensive recorded courses, you'd think it'd be easy. It's not, because the hardest part of learning something new isn't finding information–it's knowing where to start and staying motivated to keep going.
We started Til to inspire and motivate the world to learn, beginning with guitar. It all starts with you–a great Coach. Coaches guide us, answer our questions, and push us to stay on track. With live classes on Til any learner, regardless of where they live or how much money they have, can access incredible guided instruction with the world's best guitarists.
But learning takes practice beyond attending a class. We've seen Coaches motivate learners to practice by giving exercises to try between classes, like improvising over a neo-soul track or playing a song with minor 7th chords.
That's why we’re introducing Challenges, a whole new way for learners to have fun learning on Til and discover great classes like yours. Challenges help you inspire learners, engage your community, and earn more doing what you love.

Motivate learners with Challenges
Challenges are prompts created by Coaches for learners to complete, like levels in a game. Learners participate by posting a video showcasing their take on it. At the end of the Challenge you can award a badge to your favorite entry. It's like American Idol or Dancing with the Stars–except you're the judge!
Each Challenge features a topic chosen by you. To stand out pick a specific song or artist, seasonal event, or pop culture moment. Here are some ideas:
- Shake It Off (for a Taylor Swift Eras Tour class)
- B.B. King Riff (for an intermediate blues class)
- Bohemian Rhapsody (for a class teaching the A# Major chord)
We recommend posting a Challenge before each weekly live class so learners feel encouraged to practice and share what they learn. Learners who attend your class will see the details of the Challenge during your live, and anyone on Til can join after your live ends.
You can view Challenge entries and leave encouraging comments anytime, and award a favorite 6 days after it starts.
